Hermella Mathewos is a Program Manager at PxD. She holds a Master’s in Development Economics from Georgetown University, an MBA, and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University. Before joining PxD, Hermella served as a diplomat with the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, leading portfolios in trade, tourism, and investment across Africa and the Middle East. She also advised the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center on strategic planning and financial sustainability. In addition to her public sector experience, Hermella is an entrepreneur and founder of Parlour Cafés PLC in Addis Ababa. With over nine years of experience at the intersection of diplomacy, development, and entrepreneurship, she focuses on evidence-based, scalable solutions for sustainable growth.
