Mussie Haile

Mussie Haile is a Digital Agriculture Associate at PxD. He holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from Bahir Dar University and brings over four years of experience building statistical and machine learning models. Prior to joining PxD, he was a Data Scientist at Kifiya Financial Technologies, where he designed alternative-data credit-scoring models that supported more than $500 million in loan disbursements to MSMEs and smallholder farmers without formal credit histories. He also served as a Machine Learning Expert at the e-commerce platform ChipChip, where he built demand-forecasting, dynamic pricing, and customer segmentation models, and has collaborated with Ethiopia’s Agricultural Transformation Institute and Statistical Agency on commodity price forecasting.
