Solomon Wassie

Solomon Wassie is a Senior Research Associate at PxD. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Kobe University, Japan, an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oslo, and an MSc in Agricultural Economics from Haramaya University, Ethiopia. Solomon is an agricultural economist with over 15 years of experience in research, teaching, and consultancy. His research focuses on assessing the adoption and impact of rural development programs and technologies, utilizing Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) and advanced econometric methods. Prior to joining PxD, Solomon worked as a Researcher at the Amhara Agricultural Research Institute (ARARI), an Associate Professor at Bahir Dar University, and a Manager at Greenpact Consulting. He has also collaborated as an individual consultant with international organizations, including IFPRI, the University of Arizona, Oxford University, IPA, and the World Bank.
